EuroSonic is proud to welcome Zita Swoon as this year's festival opener. The
Antwerp based band has been around since 1996 and released their most recent
album Big City in 2007. The group around Stef Kamil Carlins continues to
reinvent itself, instead of playing the same tunes over and over again. Zita
Swoon still writes real hip-shakers but crafts these songs in such a way
that it's pure art. Therefore, it's not surprising that Zita Swoon is
considered one the best bands from Belgium.

Zita Swoon will perform using their special A Band In A Box-concept, which
means that they will play on a centered stage, a stage that is placed in the
middle of the concert hall. In that way, the audience can assemble around
the band and are able to experience the show in an even more intense way.
