Their cd Plan Your Escape is typical stuff for end-of-the-year-lists. So, we will be honest as well: Girls From Hawaii is one of the best Flemish alternative pop/indie bands of this moment. That’s because of the I-sing-while-I-squeeze-my-nose voice of singer Antoine Vancauwberge, brilliant titles like This Farm Will End Up In Fire and tear-jerking songs like Shades Of Time. And above all, because of the fact that Girls in Hawaii is a superb band.
