Damn, Ash’ 1977 still is an awesome record. Luckily for us the successors are here, since General Fiasco has everything to become a Very Big Band. After all, they already played with the likes of The Pigeon Detectives, The Wombats and everything the NME supposedly likes. Does that turn them into one of those many hypy bands form the UK? No way. Position these guys in the same corner as We Are Scientists, although this young trio also happens to be cheerful and blessed with a dose of irresistible hooks. Why speak of a fiasco? After all, this is going to be an enormous success. We’ll see them return at Lowlands.
