Probably one of the biggest Dutch success stories of the last couple of years. Alain Clark started out as a soul artist singing in Dutch, but became most successful with his album Live It Out (2007), where he switched to English. This switch, in combination with the laidback sound, made his soul even more powerful, resulting in a gold record and sold-out venues for this ideal son-in-law. Together with his own father Dane Clark, known from Dane and the Dukes of Soul, Alain had a big hit with the heartfelt duet Father And Friend. Last year the old Clark accompanied his son during his Noorderslag performance. What about this year?
