Dubstep is no longer a strictly British phenomenon. The Netherlands have also picked up the sound of rainy cities, settled in a cold future which is accompanied by severed beats and rustling basses. 2562 is Dave Huismans, a producer from The Hague who debuted last year with the phenomenal album Aerial. Abroad he already gained a lot of raving reviews and now it finally seems as if he's also getting recognition from the Dutch press. It's not that strange, since his name in this -still flourishing- genre can easily be compared to Burial, Kode9 or Skream. Feel those deep bass lines and be carried away to dystopia.
