Jill Furmanovsky (1953, Zimbabwe) is a well known music photographer as wel as founder and director of Rockarchive, an international music photographers collective based in London. Furmanovsky has photographed icons such as Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Eric Clapton, Blondie, The Police, The Sex Pistols and Oasis. She has also produced videos for Oasis and The Pretenders. Furmanovsky received several awards during her lengthy career. Her lecture at the Eurosonic Noorderslag seminar will discuss the importance of the visual culture in the music industry and the main difference between music photography now and in the past.
